Well, seeing as the buzz will soon be all about the new year I thought I would dig into the past a bit.. (I have a feeling as I continue to get my images from the last couple years sorted, I will be digging into the past quite a bit to bring old images to life) Here are a couple shots from my “art archives”
You should be able to tell what these are pretty easily ( I will go ahead and tell you though, candles..) . This was shot with my pentax (*gasp* film camera?!?! oh my!) handheld too.. go old-school me.. this has always been a favorite shot of mine. Makes me want to get back into film.. (almost)
Any idea what these are???
My dad had these in his studio.. I decided to arrange them and take a couple shots.. Kudos to anyone who can guess what they are.
And last but not least..
Metal scraps I found.. I rather like this image.. It could possibly end up a business card..
Do you ever just grab your camera and find odds and ends to shoot? Shooting with no agenda is a lifesaver for me at times.
If you don’t hear from me before new years, have a happy new year.
they are milk tops….
they are milk tops. 🙂
Yes pretty much.. from half and half containers.. but juice cartons often have it.. basically any larger carton will. well done. thanks for stopping by
Oh dang, I’m late and was going to guess the same as above, the oj seal things..anyways
That first shot, of the candles, is very neat. Would make great eyes for a collage manipulation picture..maybe even a robot.
I agree with you, the last shot would make a very neat business card. The placement and amount of positive space is great!
As for shooting what is available to you, odds and ends..I think this could be an interesting photowalk/assignment thing for our group on facebook! Maybe go to someone’s house or even get together somewhere and have a hour where we only shoot within a five foot radius of where we stopped..could be interesting.
Nicole,
The odds and ends thing would be a good idea for a challenge for the group to do at home, or at someone’s house.. another easy one would be to have the group shoot the same “scene” and look at how different the perspectives on it would be. We really need to get a shoot together, this is sad. Darn weather is not helping.
I love the dramatic monochromatic photography. Are those circular items the seals you find on orange juice and welch’s grape juice cartons? If not , at least I gave it a guess.
Glad you like the BWs :o) And yes they are! Good job! well i think these came from half & Half containers.. but it’s the same concept. And I know quite a few juice containers have them. Kudos to you. thanks for guessing and stopping by.
