December; Point of Rocks

Wow, it’s been more than 20 days! I didn’t even wish you all a Merry Christmas.. so here is a photo to make up for that before we get caught up.

That’s my Luna, working for some chicken and jerky. She looks un-impressed eh? I’m getting better at getting her to work better for me during my photo sessions.. Usually she just likes to do her “pout.”  Which looks like this…

which is why it was so easy to teach her to “play dead.”  But moving on.

December has been a whirlwind, work has kept me very busy, and the weather hasn’t much been helping (windy cold, 3 snow showers).  We have had a lot of training dogs coming through the past couple months, which in themselves aren’t too difficult, it’s usually the human clients that make me work for my money (go figure).

Harley

PJ

Marvin (any ideas what he is? I say Pit/Chesapeake Bay Retriever)

And recently our own Wyatt has been getting some leash training

When he’s not busy playing in the snow that is..

But the holidays are finally coming to a close, and I look forward to our “slow period.”  Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can still do some hunt training, in particular further hunt training with Luna. I will spare you the details on that, you can just go to Luna’s blog for all that.

In other news, photos are still up at the gym in D.C. and one even sold! Oober exciting, which reminds me I really need to print more photos up.  Anybody else have that problem? This whole digital camera thing is great in that it makes taking pictures more convenient, but at the same time I never seem to get around to printing them. One day I hope to make photo books for people, full of photos that they have never even seen.  Maybe in 2011 I will even find time to sort/share some of my Africa photos.

A couple non related dog photos (can you tell I need to get OUT with my camera)

(yeah, my bad, realized this still had a dog in it.. next one doesn’t!)

More photos will come as I continue to get things switched over to my Mac. (Yep finally got one!) Part of the reason I have not been around is also due to my photo software not being on the Mac, that was a couple weeks in the making.

Time for sleep!

What are you looking forward to about 2011????
