Focus for this year…

My thoughts have been all over the place lately.  I have been trying to figure out where I want this blog to go this year.  I have been considering something like a 52 week project (as I don’t think the 365: Photo a day project will gel well with my life).  But at the same time I don’t want to be limited to only 52 days of photos this year.

This article:

Gain Focus With Year Long Photo Projects | Shutter Photo Magazine.

… helped confirm my own thoughts a bit, and laid things out well. Maybe I will come up with my own customized project. Something like 52 Days of Photos with bonuses.  Ideas for a name for this project?

Other ideas on all this… I would like to include food in some of my posts, such as “Foodie Friday”.  I have been drooling over photos people take of food/baked goods they make.  I cook and bake often but  usually don’t put much effort into taking good photos of my food, they’re more record keeping photos.  I would like to learn to get better at this and I think including it in my project will force me to do so.  Plus everyone seems to enjoy the food I make, even if they just get to see the photos (I wish people would at least help me eat the baked goods I make).  Other random ideas: Macro Monday, Archive Day, Animal Day… lots of ideas I just need to figure out how to incorporate them into my weeks in addition to a saturday weekly photo. I think the key to success for someone who is horrible at establishing routines is to just start off slow, and plan.

I shall officially start the 52 weeks on saturday (though you may see some photos before then 🙂  )

Now back to real life, time to train some dogs.

  1. Beautiful! We see these dogs often, particularly around pheasant season (South Dakota’s state bird). Hunters from all over bring their dogs, and we see this breed often. That and labs.

yeah, they are becoming more and more popular I’m afraid.. I liked it when I never saw them anywhere. They are for sure not the dog for most people, and more often than not the wrong people have them. But in anycase, they are beautiful dogs. And once I’m done doing all the hun trainin with Luna I hope to reward both of us with a trip somewhere out there. Not sure if she will do the best on wild pheasants, but our lab would and Im sure I can find something there for her. Besides it gives me an excuse to go. Wish I could afford to buy land there for a summer place, I don’t think I would survive a winter.
      Thanks for stopping by
