Foodie Friday: kitchen treats

A couple more treats from our kitchen…

Pumpkin Scones with Cinnamon Chips galore…. Y-U-M.  This recipe is a keeper. It can be found at one of my favorite sites…. King Arthur

I am naming these “Blueberry Snaps” Yes the color is borderline horrid on them, but you can’t ask for a treat that’s pleasing to the eye when you mix blueberries and PB.  And if you were wondering who these are for, they are for the 4-leggers (wow a lot of “for” noise in there).  They LOVE them. Granted I have not made a single treat they wouldn’t eat, maybe I just have good taste 🙂  or they do….  It often is much more economical for me to make my own treats for the pups, whether it’s drying sweet potatoes or actually baking something.  Still way better than spending 4+ dollars a pound.  And they don’t seem to mind at all, especially when they get to lick the spoons.   If you are interested in some dog treat recipes let me know, I may be able to dig up the source.

Anyone cooking/baking anything fun in the kitchens this weekend? I am hoping to make a grocery store run later to pick up a couple things. I don’t want to spoil the surprise so you will have to stay tuned to see what I make.  And thanks to my wonderful friend Nicole,  I now have a pretty white plate and bowl to photograph in.

Oh and since there seemed to be a couple Garlic Cheese Bread fans, here is the recipe for that. Mine never looks anything like the picture, nor is it every as sticky as some say… but it still tastes awesome.

Happy Cooking (and eating of course)

No fair! You need to post the recipe! Or was that it, just peanut butter and blueberries!! They look great and I am always on the hunt for grain free since one has a grain allergy.

Don’t know that they are grain free.. I will try and work on a recipe page on luna’s blog.. so keep an eye out, I will try and let you know when I get it up and running. List the grains yours can’t have, that’ll make it easier on me.
Hope you and your gang are doing well
