Edward Weston Inspiration: Throwback thursday

Inspired by this post… which was originally inspired by Edward Weston’s Pepper # 30… which coincidentally also inspired this archived photo of mine….

I bring to you my thursday throwback image.  I took this several years ago, in my closet… with a black sweatshirt, tripod and desk lamp (and pepper of course). This pepper was on its way to becoming Gazpacho (talk about a word I had NO clue how to spell) but not before I snatched it away to take pictures of it. I have ALWAYS loved this shot, and I think it shall finally be printed up, and per my friend’s suggestion hung above my sink.

Happy Thursday!

  1. Amazing composition. Aren’t we creative at homemade studios? Love the lighting and the contrast against the dark background.

Thanks, clean and simple is how I like to roll when able. I need to find a little nook here that would allow me to do some studio shots again. Thanks for looking back a bit into my archives too, and for all the likes 😉

Seriously, where did you find such a cool looking pepper? I appreciate the comment on my site. I just left a response if you’re interested. Hope you have a great weekend.

You would have to ask my mom about where she got it, but I am on the look out for more. Maybe as they really come into season I will find some at the stores. I shall go read the response now, thank you for stopping by the site
