Soooo I am late posting these, but since I am headed back to this place today I thought it gave me rights to use them for today. Where am I going? To the watershed! (no idea if that’s one word or not) basically it’s a chunk of national forest/park or something. Anyway great place to go explore, not a ton of trails but who needs them anyway. Here are some discoveries (odd yes, but I enjoy the little things) I made on our first official visit:
I am a fungus/moss fan so I jumped inside when i found this.
I also love trees, and was drawn to the light on this branch but then fell in love with its eratic growth pattern.
And this would be a main reason we went there so early in the year, to see what the water was doing, and this is why I want to go back today as it’s rained cats and dogs lately.
Now get outside and be inspired!
Oh almost forgot, must include a 4-legger pic as they are the other reason we went
Check out Luna’s blog for a couple more photos of this trip.
I am absolutely in love with your yellow moss picture. The colors work so well together in the photo, it reminds me of an annual walk through the local forest that I take with my mother.
Beautiful.
Looks like a great place, and you got some pretty cool shots… Love the colour of your fungus, and the dogs… You can tell who’s the boss.. lol..
thanks, it’s a neat spot I look forward to making it a regular location. Hopefully you thought I was the boss lol.
Thanks for the feedback

Great photos. And Yes, watershed is one word 🙂
Thanks! and thanks for the word confirmation, good to know 😉
Beautiful pictures! I also love moss and lichen. The picture of the stream makes me long (even more) for the spring here to. But I guess we have to wait 6-7 weeks before it can look like this here. We still have a feet of snow on the ground here.
/P
Thank you, We often get snow in March here so I’m not convinced winter is over just yet. Thanks for stopping by, have a great Sunday.

Thanks, should be more on the way too after today. The waters were flowing.
