So, I searched and searched but no Morels were to be found. I’m honestly getting rather tired of looking for these elusive morels. I am convinced that they are up somewhere, just not where I looked. Plenty of other fungi wanted to grace me with their presence…
And this wonderful one…
This next little flower was high on my list of re-finds this year (I knew where they bloomed on a regular trail). Well the regular trail was flooded out but I was blessed to find this one on my way back up the trail. They are pretty tricky flowers to find let alone shoot. I introduce to you the Trout Lily:
I know I know, but Luna was practically begging to jump up there and ignore me 😉 I want to share a whole series of shots of her in this window.. so stay tuned.
That’s all I have for now, been a long weekend and still have a long week ahead. But I’m looking forward to our weekend away coming up. Whoot
Found your blog through SD living and love your photos! I am really appreciating your colorful glimpse of spring poking through…it’s still hasn’t arrived in full bloom here in ND. Take care (and keep taking photos!)
I’ve never learned how to appreciate the beauty of fungi until now! The orange one growing on the tree bark is especially cute. The lighting in that photo is superb—you’ve really captured the allure of its striking colour.
luna is so majestic. i just love that photo of her. keep ’em coming!
I enjoy seeing Luna, too! The more pictures of her the better IMO. 🙂
Glad to hear you have a weekend away coming up. It’s always nice on a Monday to have something fun to look forward to!
Beautiful photos! I can’t wait to see more of Luna from this shoot 🙂
Beautiful pictures. Luna almost looks like a statue!
Thanks, I agree which is probably why I enjoy this photo so much. She does this often, you should see her sit around the yard.
The more photos of that gorgeous Luna, the better!
I have never even heard of a trout lily before. How lovely. Thanks for helping me out of my Monday funk!
Glad you enjoy seeing her, sometimes I feel like I put too many pics of her up on here, but comments like yours help me justify it ;-). Trout Lily are quite neat, I should have posted a leaf pic too as that’s the easiest way to identify them before they bloom. Glad I could help kick the monday funk
