Not a lot happening in the kitchen this week. Honestly I have been too busy with work to do much of anything indoors. Last night I did manage to make a favorite around here
Manicotti… I like it because the filling is the same for Chris’ version as mine, so I just have to change the sauces.
I cooked some venison sausage and threw it in with some spaghetti sauce. I laid that as a base for Chris’ version. Then I placed the stuffed shells as so and threw some extra stuffing in the middle…. then phase 2
Topped it with more crazy venison sauce and extra cheese (I added Mozz cheese just didn’t take a picture) and popped it in the oven.
Yummy huh? I made a white version for myself with a white sauce I whipped up. I’m just glad I had enough ingredients to do so, it’s amazing how long Heavy Cream lasts in the fridge (I’m talking Feb as a sell by)
That is about all I made this week, or I forgot what else I made. Tomorrow I hope to make some popovers to use up the rest of the Manicotti filling, but we are hoping to get out the door pretty quick. About that, the Mister and I are heading out to the Bay to fish for Stripers. Yep that’s what we wanted to do for our 2 year anniversary. First we will check out a little town called Solomons Island, then check in and rest up for our long day on the Bay. We’re really praying the weather holds out for us, they’re calling for warm but also t-storms… Anyhow I may or may not get a post up this weekend. I am going to try and relax so you may have to wait a little for the next 52 Week installment.
Now I must go finish loading music for our drive, and then precious sleep.
