Week 17 brings more glimpses into our week
Our anniversary weekend away at the bay started with mini gulf just outside our Hotel. I admit the Mister won the first night but I came back and won the second game the next day. As soon as I saw this scene I knew I had to shoot it, and boy am I glad I did. I LOVE this one, a good keeper for our weekend.
Then it was off to the Bay at 5:30 the next morning.
which allowed us to view this on our way out of the bay. Which was soon followed by big fish like these
Pardon the picture quality I didn’t realize the settings were so hot, so I had to try and save it. It was a good day, we ended up catching 14 trophy stripers (releasing after our limit of course). After our return to the hotel the Mister humored me with a trip into the woods to look for morels. I thought it looked like a great spot…
Apparently it was for ferns.. I ended up seeing 5 different types as I got lost looking for morels.
It was a lovely weekend, and long overdue. But all too soon it was back to reality.
But at least I had fun dogs to come back to
And prompted by a post by Bailey (or rather bailey’s mum) I had to share this one too
gotta love puppy faces when they run full tilt. These are actually littermates/brothers. Can you tell? Harley on the right comes for daycare most every day… and his brother Luke was here for boarding. Just another day at Braveheart.
And that is basically my week in short. Hope you had a good one
Wonderful photos and a great fish!
Hope you are well
Howard
It’s always soooo hard to come back to reality after a fun weekend. Glad to hear you guys had a good time – you took beautiful photos!
Yes it is indeed, and to a busy week at that. But at least the weather is being kind for the most part. We will just have to do weekends like this more often. I envy you for the trip you all are planning. Maybe one day we can do the same. Glad you enjoyed the photos too. I didn’t stress about taking many as it was nice to have a break
