52 Weeks of Photos; Week 18: Fun with the phone

So I have honestly not been doing a ton of everyday shooting like usual. If I do it’s usually of some of the training or boarding dogs and I have not had the energy or time to sort through them just yet.  So I have been playing more with my camera phone.  I must admit I usually think effects like these are cliche but I like how these turned out anyhow.

You’ve seen him before… Zeus looking too cool

Luna pointing as she waits for me to shoot the bumper launcher… I don’t know why she points for these but I’m not complaining.

Dahlia, a pit bull here for training.  She is finally starting to get somewhere in being a happy relaxed dog.  Yesterday we worked on dropping boards around her as she does not like objects being lifted around her (really makes me think she was abused or something).  At the end of our quick session she was able to sit through them and trust me that they were not going to hit her. (PS I love this shot, totally works for her)

One of the only good shots of the Wisteria I will have this year… I didn’t bother to take my camera out before it died.  Ah well, at least I like this one

My 2nd oldest bro Joe, who is also a photographer.  He did not like that I had purchased Hipstamatic so he made me take a pic of him to send to his friend.
And that’s that.  Now I must go get things together to go visit with my family for the day. Hope everyone is having a good week thus far.

Love the camera phone photos. I’m particularly in love with Zeus, and the effect you used for the Wisteria was just spot on.

Sometimes it’s a relief not to pull out the big digital clunker. (Although it’s funny I’m so lazy with my dSLR, considering that we don’t even have to develop film anymore…)

Loverly! That Zeus is so freaking cute!

Naturally, Luna is showing off her gorgeous lines. It’s so cool that she points like that, just another part of her personality. It may be cliche but I think Luna looks great via Hipstamatic.
Now I want a phone camera.

Yay for Dahlia’s success! That’s awesome.

  3. Beautiful photos! Camera phones are great fun to use and so versatile when it comes to creating different effects—they’re definitely lighter and easier to whip out than a hefty DSLR! My hubby uses his all the time to capture candid moments with Maple, but they often don’t turn out quite as artistic as your shots 😀

  4. I was going to ask if it was Hipstamatic or Instagram – they turned out really great. Sometimes it’s just way too easy to use the camera on our phones. 🙂

That’s a gorgeous shot of Luna – she is so sleek!

Luna is obviously very excited waiting for that bumper launcher to do its thing! All the pictures turned out great!
