As an artist (still feel weird saying that) it’s important to challenge your creativity… to break out of typical subject patterns and art processes… and find art in new things. An impromptu trip the local train station with my friend gave me that opportunity… and I have to admit it felt good to get out and force myself to find interesting things to shoot. So I give you the results of my creative stretching…
I love the lines in this one… I am a line junkie, but they are an important part of photography, they lead the eye, and thus the emotion. I also like how the train station roof sort of frames it all.
yeah I kind of love this one too.. it will be a business card I think
I also love textures, this will be a biz card too probably. Now a couple random pictures from the week
iPhone photo from the river. We went out fishing with my boss and his wife… definite perk of this job. The Mr. and I, as well as his brother also went catfishing last night it was long overdue and we all caught a couple.
I have been seeing wheat fields all over the place lately. This photo needs work, but I didn’t want to make the Mr. wait too long as I tried to quickly figure out how I wanted to shoot this field. Maybe I will make it back there sometime to work it out.
On the way home God blessed my Mr. (okay and me too) with this sight… he was cute, maybe he’ll grow up to be a bruiser some day. He was not bothered by the camera (or car) much at all. This is a subject I really wish I had more opportunities to photograph. One day maybe.
So that was out week in short. Savor the break from dog photos, as I still have quite a few training dogs to share with you.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
I’m glad you all seemed to enjoy my lines, I can’t help myself.
Liz- I wanted to capture the expanse and warmness of the field that evening… And I don’t feel I quite did, hard to put into words what I was going for, maybe that’s why i couldn’t execute it. A simple blue sky behind it probably would have helped. The tree-line was messing me up. Ah well, can’t have everything

Great pictures. I like the wheat field picture.
All great photos. I love lines, too. Especially liked the one with bricks and yellow circles, I assume from the train launching point. Very nice. You had such variety — loved the deer, too.
Way cool, all of them, especially the first four from the train station. Love your lines, Anna! You find them and show them off so well.
The wheat field…I liked a lot. Can you tell me what you would do differently?
