Help: I need title ideas…

Well it’s that time of year again… I have narrowed down a couple images to enter into the Waterford Fair, despite saving costs and digging into images I already had in print.  Now is the even harder part of thinking of titles for them, I am not good at this anymore so suggestions are welcome.  They can be 1 word that comes to your mind when you view them, or a phrase even… I just need some ideas.

1.  Here is the first one. I think this will be entered in the new BW category as it seems to best fit that one. Other category options for this include: Abstract, Still Life, Nature Studies, Creative and Expressive. If you think it fits better into another let me know…. now let the title ideas flow

Now the next two I am still trying to decide on. One of these can be entered into portrait which one do you prefer?  I love them both but for different reasons.

Both captured a certain moment and emotion… this was from my trip to Africa if you were curious. Yep I went to Africa, but that is a story for another day.  Thoughts, opinions, critiques, and title ideas are welcome and a half.

Hope everyone is having a good week, more rain here I know I should not complain but it really does interfere with work and it’s getting kind of old.

  1. Beautiful photos! The first image has a certain lightness and airborne quality about it. A title that comes to mind is ‘Flutter’. The second image really appeals to me because of its authentic innocence and I would call this one ‘Gigglefest’. The third image has a rather stoic tone and I think there is more to this story than meets the eye—would you mind sharing a bit of context behind this scene? It has gotten me very curious!

  2. Great photos, I have no title ideas but I love the middle picture with the little toothless laugh and the joy they both have. Very hard decisions since they are all wonderful.

  3. All these shots are great. The first one makes me think of shadows, with the difference in light and dark from left to right. So I would name it Shadows. The middle shot speaks of “Happiness” — they are having a grand time. And the third is very thought-provoking in that these little girls are serious, yet have gorgeous dresses on, no shoes, and the housing doesn’t look elaborate. So where did they get these dresses and where are they going? Maybe the title could be “Little Women”. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Great shots. I love the composition and symmetry in the third one.

I don’t have a feeling for the b&w photo yet, but the middle pic speaks to every part of my being and then some. I would call it simply “transcendence.” The little girls in the bottom shot look far to serious to me. They appear to have insight, understanding, something… far beyond their years. This one I would call just plain “Two too!”

Ah, Anna…tough ones, but great ones.

Obviously, the first shot fits well in the B/W category. Is it frost? If it is, you could call it “Frost.” Simple, to the point. But only If it’s frost, of course 🙂

As for the middle shot, I LOVE that bag on her head and all the fun they’re having. Here in the States people would be calling Social Services over that bag on her head. They might be poor, but man, they’re happy. Makes me want to say: “True Dat”

And the third shot, which is stunning and of a delicate feeling, I’d call it “Welcome”
