Here are photos from the themes posted for February… if you don’t know what photo project I am talking about you can find more info about this great project on my earlier post.
I thought the first month was kinda difficult and hoped we would get a bit of a theme break for february but nooope they kept us challenged.
LPTG 52 Weeks; Week 5: “I left my heart in…”
This is one of my favorite shots of a lake I practically grew up at (yes that is snow on the dock). It was my friend’s dock, but it was within walking distance of my house, and they let me come by anytime. I spent a ton of free time there with my camera, fishing pole, canoe, now-husband, and with the dog. A lot of fond memories here, holds a special place in my heart for sure. One day maybe I will live next to water again.
LPTG 52 Weeks; Week 6: “Movie/Song Title”
Well I just noticed that whole “title” part to this theme, I just picked one of my favorite songs and literally illustrated a part of it.
Song is by David Gray called “Sail Away With Me.”
A favorite song of my husband and I, so I got him to help me a bit with this shot… he lent his hands, as he so often does.
Lyrics specifically in mind were :
“Sail away with me honey
I put my heart in your hands
Sail away with me honey now, now, now
Sail away with me
What will be will be
I wanna hold you now”
I just looove love love this song, have a listen if you have not heard it before.
LPTG 52 Weeks; Week 7: “Light”
Without light we would have no reflections… or blue skies… or trees. I have always loved reflections so I was thrilled to capture this one while out on a walk. I like how the framing kinda acts as a mirror into a different realm.
LPTG 52 Weeks: Week 8: “Laughter”
Dog + Toy = Laughter. One of my favorite things about Luna is how she will play with a toy all by herself. I love her expression in this one, she was working on killing it and chewing it up. It also shows how good she is at using her paws as hands, silly girl.
Pretty interesting themes huh, what would you have done??
Wow!! These photos took my breath away. Love the shot of the dock — should be a postcard!
I think you did a great job with these themes.
Thanks, having no others to compare to helps me look good for sure lol. But it has been mostly fun, and I am proud of the fact that I have not missed a week yet.
LOVE the shot of your snow covered dock… That’s pretty stunning… And Luna !!… lol… 🙂
Thanks, that is an old favorite. It was one of the few themes we were allowed to go back into archives for. It is a nice reminder of a wonderful time in my life, and a wonderful family that allowed me to go there freely.
Luna is a ham, and always a good fallback lol. Thanks for stopping by
I love the photo of the reflection! It is so simple and pretty. It really does look link a window into a world of fantasy.
Of course, the last one is also wonderful. I love how silly our dogs can be, and how much they embrace the moment.
Thanks, I like that reflection one too, even if just for the simplicity of it. It was a nice find. And I was aiming for a pic of Luna playing with the toy on her back, but as soon as the cam came out she never went on her back again while playing. But I still like how it ended up. Thanks for the love
