Saturday we had our first snowfall.. and it was a good one. I had to work saturday so outside of a couple yard shots I wasn’t able to take any pictures. The drive to work, though scary at times, was rather beautiful. Normally I find driving in snow fun.. until I am on the road with other drivers, in a light 2 door card, going up a mountain that has a bunch of increasingly frozen slush.. but I made the 45 minute drive there and home.. I would have LOVED to pull over with my camera and take some shots on my way home. I would have if I were in a heavier vehicle, with my husband there to get us out if we got stuck, and if my camera were actually with me..
I love trees that have snow on them, that ended up being a bit of the theme on our walk this morning. It’s hard to do the winter snow light justice.. Wish i had a polarizing lens.. nice blue sky. Luna enjoyed the walk too. and had a hard time keeping her nose out of my shots. She LOVES snow.. and I love the last shot, fits her very well.
Enjoy

Impressive photos. Looking forward to a bit more snow here sometime as the light really elevates the mood. Nice photos
Thanks H. This is one of my side hobbies.. I do love the light snow brings.. and the fact that it makes the light linger even longer at night. Never hunted in the snow, though we have “track hunted” just for fun. I know Luna would be game for whatever if there were birds involved.
I thought your shots came out beautifully! The crispness of the sky and all it’s colors, the snow,a dn even our fav dog, Luna, who has the best looking nose around :o)
Polarizing filter.. thank you I keep forgetting I need one. As always, Anna, your pics are beautiful.
thanks :o) (and thanks for bothering to reply) I have a polarizing filter.. don’t know how to use it, and I think it got ruined.. somehow the lube that allows the filter to spin got out on the glass when I was cleaning it off.. so now I have a bunch of smears too..
Luna looks almost regal! I love that jacket, the colors work so well on her! I also really enjoy the picture with her nose in the corner. At first, I was like, “what is that?,” then I looked closer. Great idea/concept! Keep up the great work!
thanks.. she is regal.. and I love the colors too.. too bad it’s too short for her, but still fits well enough. She doesn’t wear it often so haven’t bothered to buy another. Glad you liked the wall shot, I may even print that one, I just love the whole idea. Split second capture. thanks for commenting 🙂
